During the first days of 2024, I want to share with you a reflection on the milestones we’ve achieved, the operational successes that have defined us, and the remarkable growth that has become synonymous with Velocicharge.
The dynamic EV Charging Landscape requires collaboration
In the dynamic landscape of the electric vehicle (EV) charging industry, operational efficiency is not just a goal—it’s a necessity. From the operational perspective it has been imperative to understand that in the dynamic and growing world of EV charging and electric mobility, collaboration is fundamental. Tomorrow’s development relies heavily on cooperation and collaboration both within our organization and with external stakeholders. Through partnerships and alliances, we aim to create a more interconnected and sustainable electric mobility ecosystem.
This collaborative approach has been crucial to our success in resolving challenges, fostering partnerships, mitigating issues like range anxiety, and promoting e-mobility. Ultimately, we are contributing to boosting the adoption of electric vehicles and creating a smooth and efficient experience for EV users.
Expansion and Growth
We celebrated the installation of our 7th charging station, expanding our Public EV Fast Charging Network from 4 Charging Stations to 7 Charging Stations, with an 8th under construction, totaling over 30 public EV chargers. This expansion is part of what the company envisions to expand EV infrastructure across Puerto Rico. Our user base has expanded exponentially, indicating that EV enthusiasts and businesses recognize the reliability and convenience that Velocicharge brings to the table.
Customer Centric & Tech forward
By combining operational efficiency with customer-centric consciousness, we’re not just meeting industry standards; we’re setting them. Operational responsibility ensures that EV users access reliable and quality charging services. For example: track emerging technologies, optimize our services, and expand our network to meet the ever-increasing needs of the EV community. Since our launch we have been directly interfacing with customers, connecting with EV users to charging stations, significantly enhancing the customer experience. Establishing credibility, trust, and reliability through quality customer service has been essential for Velocicharge’s success.
In 2023, Velocicharge extended its range of features with the launch of its own mobile app—the Velocicharge App. Providing real-time information on station availability and charging status, making the process more convenient for users. For example the introduction of the Complementary Free Charging Program, a tool for driving sales and nurturing loyalty where companies can give complementary free charging to EV users.
Closing the GAP with Education
As we bid farewell to 2023, filled with pride for our achievements, we acknowledge that our journey towards sustainability is far from linear. Despite the exponential growth in electric vehicle (EV) adoption and the advancement of effective charging infrastructure, security, concerns and doubts persist among existing and potential users. Education emerges as a key piece in this puzzle: the lack of information about range, car functionalities, available charging stations, incentives, and other considerations limits the widespread adoption of electric vehicles.
It is imperative that both the private, government and public sectors collaborate on educational initiatives to alleviate these concerns and facilitate a seamless transition towards electric mobility.
